So here is my dress at the first fitting. I think it was made by Maggie Sotero. I went shopping in Holland, MI with my good friend Jen not expecting to get a dress. We went to a bridal show, a store that didn't even help us, and then finally to Jane's Bridal Shop. I tried a lot on, all of which I thought I wanted, and then I picked this one, which I really didn't think I would want. Oops, I was wrong! It was simple and beautiful. It had a corset, a semi full skirt and a large train.
I decided to do something a little different because I really dislike trains. I had the seamstress sew my bustle in. She had never had that request before, so I brought her some pictures and the finished product is above....it was perfect! This way my dress wouldn't drag on the grass as much, and I wouldn't have to worry about messing with the buslte later one. The dress did end up being a little too long and I tripped walking down the aisle...oh well...the day can't be perfect!
My mother in law and I made my veil which turned out to be gorgeous, but way more trouble than it was worth! I found the fabric, sheer with little embroidered flowers. However, I had to special order the fabric becuase it only came in ivory, then I had to get it shipped to me and so on and so on! It did look really great though!
Here's a great shot of the whole package. I have really fantastic professional pictures, but I haven't had a chance to scan them to the computer yet. Here's the link to our wedding album if anyone would like to see it.*
*I hated my photographer...HATED him. The pics turned out ok, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. If you need the password it is 080506.

We had the same designer for our dress, I really love the work they do. Your dress was so pretty and looks like a great wedding!
