Spontaneous Adventures

Adam and I had such a great weekend. It started Friday night with a trip to the Lowell Folk Festival. We found parking rather easily and headed in the direction of the festivities. We didn't really know where we were going, we just followed the music. We stumbled on a fantastic restaurant with a killer band outside. We ate dinner, grabbed a few Organic Beers and started jamming with The Primate Fiasco. They are a 5 man band complete with a tuba, clarinet, harmonica, drums, and an electric banjo. They played for about an hour with a rousing encore of "When the Saints Go Marching In."

At about 10:00 I started texting my good friend Steph who lives in NYC. We had been talking about her coming to visit this weekend but then she had some things come up so we gave up the planning. However, through texting I learned that her plans were cancelled and she had nothing to do for the weekend! There's nothing like planning a quick 24 hour trip at midnight!

So Saturday morning she boarded the 7:00am bus and was on her way. We drove to Boston around 10:00 am to pick her up and had the best time showing her around. We took her to our favorite Cambridge Restaurant, Cambridge Common, drove her around Harvard, then we headed back to our place for a few hours by the pool. We ended Saturday night with drinks and dinner prepared by Chef Adam at Casa Morris:) Sunday we had breakfast once again prepared by the Chef and then went to an Orchard to pick our own blueberries...6 lbs of them! We then had lunch and took Steph on a driving tour of Boston. She then boarded the 5pm bus and was on her way back to NYC! It was quick, but so worth it!
